Some Thoughts on our Fourth Birthday

It’s hard to believe that Pizza Nola has been open for four years. We’ve seen tremendous growth in Lakeview and a boon in development on West Harrison and it has been exciting to be a part of the neighborhood’s resurgence. What is most fulfilling; however, are our loyal customers whom we have had the pleasure of getting to know over the last few years. Like clockwork they come in and many times order the exact same thing. For several customers, their order is already in the system the moment they walk in the door. These special customers are just one of the reasons we are thankful to be part of the Lakeview community.

It’s Garland and Laneta who always make us our first (and usually 2nd and 3rd ) stop when they come in from Florida.

It’s Allen who stops in frequently for 20 mild wings with ranch dressing

It’s Ivan who likes his meatball sandwich with a cup of hot marinara on the side.

It’s Matt who calls in at exactly 1:50pm each Wednesday for 2 8-inch Butchers Block pizzas, no sausage and double the ham.

It’s Jasmine, who likes her Chicken Caesar Wrap with lite lettuce and extra dressing.

It’s Josh, who likes green peppers and red onions on his California Club sandwich.

It’s Kate, who likes Goat Cheese instead of Feta on her spinach salad.

It’s Paul, who shows up like clockwork at 7:30 Sunday mornings for his oatmeal and banana.

It’s Wesley who we can count on for very nice breakfast and lunch orders delivered to his studio.

It’s the sound production company in Broadmoor, who makes the trek to pick up 3 large pizzas for their office on most Fridays.

It’s Herb Import Company for whom their Friday lunch is becoming a Pizza Nola tradition.

It’s the students of John Jay Beauty College who like to get creative with their Friday lunch orders.

It’s Stacie and Buddy whose Sunday breakfast bunch is ever expanding (with one more on the way!)

It’s Elaine, Missy and Christi (among others) on whom we can always count to favorite and RT our tweets.

It’s Mr. and Mrs. Nisbet who help make each Sunday breakfast service complete.

It’s Janice whose baby girl always gives us the cutest smile when her mom opens the door.

It’s Carolyn and CJ who follow up their golf outing with a stop at Pizza Nola.

It’s Barbara who wants anchovies on her pizza, even if she says artichokes.

It’s the families who show up every Monday night for Kids Eat Free night.

It’s Hynes school who celebrates their Student of the Month with our pizza.

It’s Ben Franklin High who count on us to feed their New Student Orientation days and several other programs throughout the year.

It’s our riding girls who show up each weekend for pizza after Dressage class.

It’s Dudley, our landlord, who always enjoys his Deluxe Combo Calzone and lemonade.

It’s Mike and the crew at the Basin, Marguerite at Daiquiris, the bartenders from Parlays, and other Lakeview hotspots that help spread the word.

It’s Gambit Weekly, with whom we partner to give a copy of their latest issue with each delivery.

It’s our “Surviving the Sharknado” panelists: Eve, Scott, Mark, Kevin, Dave and Allison and our “NCIS:New Orleans” guide Dave who helped bring our watch parties to a new level.

It’s our loyal staff members, several of whom have been with us for over two years, and Lenny, our Kitchen Manager, who’s been with us from even before Day 1: they go above and beyond and are always ready to tackle new challenges.

It’s many, many others (and apologies to those who we have left off) who help spread the word on Social Media, who support us in our programming, and who make it a point to be a familiar face throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We couldn't do it without you, and we are most grateful for your support over the last four years. We look forward to many more!
